Membership in the NSDAR is an unique opportunity to establish heritage as a descendent of a patriot of the American Revolution. We welcome all ladies who are at least 18 years of age and can prove lineal blood line descent from a man or woman who aided in achieving American independence, serving in the military or rendered material aid to the cause. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage and death, including the her own birth certificate naming her parents. For the earlier generation many forms of documentation may be acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to church records, old Bible records, obituaries, wills, land deeds giving land to named child, pension records, insurance applications, tax rolls may prove place of residence, The form below is a replica of the second page of the DAR application form. All lines must be filled out as completely as possible, back to the applicant's patriot. The third page must provide documentation for each statement given on page two. Page three asks how and where the patriot served. Documentation must be provided. Please contact us

Some document linking each generation to the previous one will be required. There are many sources for this information in addition to birth, death and marriage certificates. Documentation for prior generations may include state census schedules, obituaries, church records, and many more. |
