Ah-Dah-Wa-Gam Chapter was organized April 17, 1909. The name Ah-Dah-Wa-Gam  is an Indian name meaning two-sided rapids. There was a large boulder in the center of the rapids, which was above the river, dividing the water as it rushed over it or around it.
